Sample Uses

Use this template to:

  • Explore and collaborate on new business ideas.
  • Tackle your business plan with a step-by-step guide.
  • Provide one place to manage all your resources.
How to Use:
  • Entrepreneur adds Tasks in the appropriate columns, building out each section of the business plan:

IDEA - Create a Task in this column to define and expand on your concept.

PRODUCT/SERVICE - Enter Tasks here to identify the products or services that your proposed business will offer.

MARKET ANALYSIS - In this column, enter any Tasks related to market strategy and customer acquisition, such as: performing a competitive analysis, identifying market trends, determining your target audience, and developing a marketing strategy.

OPERATIONS - Consider the job roles and qualifications needed on your management team to drive success. Add Tasks sharing your own experience, the other members you’ll add to fill in gaps, and any other resources that will help you achieve your long-term goals.

FINANCIALS - Insights from your research to this point will help you outline your financial projections. Add Tasks strategizing your pricing structure, mapping start-up costs, reviewing estimated profits and losses, and creating an exit strategy.

DOCUMENTS - Add Tasks in this column to gather your research sources, documents, and links.

  • Entrepreneur works on Tasks in the first column, then the second column and so on, moving along the board from left to right.

  • When analysis begins on a Task, the Entrepreneur labels that Task as “In Process.”

  • If analysis is outsourced for a Task, the Entrepreneur labels that Task as “Outsourced.”
